Inspired by the popular “Best of Long Island” annual poll, the JerEcho conducted its second “Best of Jericho” survey in order to find out what are students’ favorite aspects of Jericho High School.
Ranging from the most spirited department to the best place to grab a bite before school, Jericho students have shared their opinions on what they love.
Best School Sport to Spectate
Setting, serving and spiking–volleyball is known for its action-packed play and steadfast teamwork. Volleyball is a sport that keeps you on the edge of your seat, whether you’re playing or cheering from the sidelines. It’s no surprise that Jericho High School volleyball steals the best school sport to spectate for the second time!
Best Vending Machine Snack
Need a pick me up? Stop by one of the school’s many vending machines and grab a bag of Baked Chips, a Jericho High School favorite. From cheddar and sour cream, salt and vinegar and original, you can always find a student with Baked Chips in their hand.
Best School Lunch
French toast sticks, pancakes, chicken dumplings and cheeseburgers are just some of the scrumptious lunch options. However, when it comes to fan favorites, mac & cheese is the star of the show.
Favorite Place to Hang Out
Looking for a chill, calm and cozy place to rewind and recharge during your free period? Well, the library is your ultimate getaway. Grab a book and dive into an adventure, or share a quiet laugh with your friends!
Best Place to Grab a Snack Before School
You can often find Jericho students entering school each morning with a Starbucks beverage in their hand. Whether it be a frappuccino, strawberry açaí or an iced matcha, Starbucks is Jericho’s favorite place to grab a snack or drink before school.
Best Spirit Day
Although there are a multitude of spirit days here at Jericho High School, nothing beats Battle of the Classes which is the clear favorite. No matter what team you’re on, everyone can have fun on this spirited day!
Best Honor Society
There are many honor societies offered at Jericho, each one providing its own special opportunities and benefits. National Honor Society always has such loyal and engaged members, so it is obvious why it is students’ favorite.
Best Theme Day
Who doesn’t love rocking comfy pajama pants and a cozy sweater straight from bed to school? Among our many school spirit days, the crowd favorite remains Pajama Day.
Most Spirited Department
Our beloved faculty love to participate in all of our school’s fun events. However, the Science Department stands out from among the rest with their vivacious and outgoing aura.
