This year’s boys varsity swimming team was hardworking and full of talent.
With a squad composed of 10 seniors, 4 juniors, 15 sophomores, 15 freshmen and 1 middle schooler, there was a slew of depth and talent on this year’s roster.
Jericho varsity swimming coach Richard Stern felt great about this year’s team. He said, “We started the season 6-0 for the first time since 2014. We went up against the four-time defending county champions and had an amazing meet. Even though we lost, we came out with some great performances. The depth, drive and desire of this team is what will lead us moving forward.”
Senior Miles Faivush was impressed with his team’s efforts this year. He said, “For years, we have always been the underdog team who had to push for wins or placement.” Miles added, “I don’t think we could’ve made it this far if not for the amazing depth our team has, as well as the intense work ethic that our coaches hammer into us.”
