Netflix’s original movie Red Notice was ranked #1 for a week straight on Netflix’s Top 10 when it was first released, having over 148.72 million views according to Observer.com.
Red Notice is about FBI agent John Hartley (Dwayne Johnson), who must team up with art thief Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds) to track down the most wanted thief in the world, The Bishop (Gal Gadot). While trying to get back stolen valuable art, the pair get themselves into trouble when they realize that The Bishop is always one step ahead of them even when they think she’s not.
As the story unravels, they show how Hartley and Booth’s relationship develops and how the characters start to work together to defeat a common enemy. Watching this movie, I enjoyed seeing how Dwayne Johnson played such an intense role as we usually see him playing more comedic roles. The beautiful island vistas, exotic locations and unpredictable plot make for an exciting viewing experience.
Sophomore Emma M. appreciated the surprising plot twist. She said, “At the end of the movie I was very surprised and can’t wait for the next one!”
Sophomore Emma M. couldn’t wait for the premiere of Red Notice. “It has some of my favorite actors in it, and in other movies they played good roles,” she said.
On the other hand, some of the plot twists happen so quickly that the viewer can’t keep up with the story. Based on this, I rate this movie 4 out of 5 stars.
