The winter sports season has begun and Jericho High School’s boys varsity swimming team has expectations for a fruitful dual meet campaign this season.
The team has definitely prepared well so far. Team captain senior Raymond L. said, “We keep a strict diet and exercise regimen.” Sophomore Michael K. added, “We practice every day for two hours with intense workouts. We also do practice meets.”
Jericho certainly shows the ambition for success and has set high goals. Coach Stern said, “I’m hoping we have a great regular season in dual meets, where we win all of our in conference meets, that’s one of our team goals. Another team goal is to finish in the top two of our division.”
The team is also very aware of their upcoming opponents. Coach Stern said, “I think there are some phenomenal teams in our conference which are going to be just as good, just as fast, and it’s going to be one of the best dual meet seasons we’ve ever had.”
Let’s hope that Jericho High School’s boys swimming team will be able to show their best qualities and put in dazzling performances this season.
