Chop’t Creative Salad Company recently opened its doors in Woodbury and has taken the salad out of the realm of boring.
Just like Blaze Pizza and Chipotle, Chop’t patrons can create their own customized salads. First, select a type of lettuce. Kale? Romaine? Spinach? These are just a few of the options. Then, onto the toppings which include carrots, tomatoes, avocado, quinoa, apples, cranberries, edamame, and corn to name a few. Next add a protein, such as egg whites, cheese, or even grilled or fried chicken. Now it’s time for the dressing ranging from sweet to spicy. Their signature dressing, and our personal favorite, is called Mexican Goddess. Be careful, it’s very spicy!
Chop’t has quickly become a new Jericho hot spot. Senior Arielle K. says, “I went to Chop’t for the first time shortly after it opened. I loved the selection there and the amount of options I had. I’m used to salads being so bland, but they have dressings and toppings that are unlike any other place that I have been to.” Senior Sydney D. also is a big fan of Chop’t. “I go to Chop’t almost every week. The service is great every time I go, and you get a big salad for a decent price.” Although the service is very fast once patrons reach the counter, the order line often stretches out the door. We believe the wait is definitely worth it.
If you decide to create your own salad, you can choose up to four core toppings for a base price of $7.99. Adding extra toppings can cost two to three dollars more. Chop’t also has a selection of signature salads such as the Kale Caesar, the Kebab Cobb, and the Palm Beach.
Clearly Chop’t salads are far from boring. With the large selection of toppings and dressings to choose from, you can create the salad of your dreams. Lettuce know what you think of Chop’t.
