Ms. Devivo has been teaching for three years. One of her favorite moments this year was when the boys varsity swim team won its first meet against Hewlett High School.

The JerEcho officially welcomes Jericho High School’s new teachers who include: French teacher Ms. Kennedy, life skills instructor Ms. Del Vecchio, science teacher Ms. Devivo, learning center instructor Ms. Isaac, math teacher Mrs. Mauro, science teacher Ms. Randone, Spanish teacher Ms. Silva, art teacher Mr. Ciminelli, Spanish and Italian teacher Mr. Vittorino and math teacher Ms. Wehmann.
Before working at Jericho, Ms. Isaac spent 10 years coaching cheerleading at middle school, junior varsity and varsity levels.
Mr. Vittorino previously taught at St. John’s University, Herricks High School and at a Brooklyn teaching hospital where he designed a curriculum for medical students.
Mr. Ciminelli’s favorite classes in high school were his computer graphics courses.
Now entering her fourth year of teaching, Ms. Del Vecchio advises students to be independent thinkers and encourages them to never be afraid to question what they hear.
Ms. Silva’s advice for students is to “Trust your instincts. If something does not feel right, it usually isn’t.”
Prior to teaching at Jericho High School, Ms. Mauro taught at East Rockaway and in the Massapequa School District. She is currently an Adjunct Professor at Molloy College.

After teaching at Jackson Heights High School, Ms. Randone is now in her 4th year of teaching and loves to travel.
Ms. Wehmann’s favorite class in high school was math. She said, “It was the enthusiasm that my math teachers in high school brought that I hope I portray in my classroom now.”
Ms. Kennedy enjoys infusing the arts into her teaching of French. She helped her students start the process of creating long exposure shots while learning about Lyon’s festival of lights.
Red filters were placed over flashlights and moved in a swirling motion to create the effect above in Ms. Kennedy’s class.
