Six Long Island women have been the talk of the town since their reality show “Secrets and Wives” aired on Bravo in June 2015. Amy Miller, Andi Black, Cori Goldfarb, Gail Greenberg, Liza Sandler and Susan Doneson have become famous from their particular North Shore personalities.
During episodes, the “Secrets and Wives” cast can be spotted at multiple Long Island hot-spots such as Kitchen Cabaret, Soul Cycle, and 388 Restaurant and Lounge. Additionally, the wives often make trips to Fire Island and Montauk, hold festivities such as grandiose pre-proms, and renew their vows in front of hundreds of guests.
The plot lines in the show are different in each episode, but are often formulated to expose drama that the wives face on an everyday basis. Things get heated in the first season as friends gossip, partners are accused of cheating, and money is lost. Senior Chloe C. said that the reality show is, “similar to the ‘Real Housewives.’”
Reality stars such as these women have mastered the art of highlighting contemporary upper middle class problems that leave viewers glued to their TVs wanting more.
When asked about her experience of being on the show, Gail Greenberg said, “All in all, the girls are great and we are a true sisterhood. The show was a great learning experience and if given the opportunity, I’d suggest everyone go down that road. Why not? You live once!”
Each wife brings a different personality to the show and contributes to the overall drama in her own way.
