The year began on a rather warm note with a high of 90 degrees. But that wasn’t the only high of the day, as senior spirit was even higher. To begin the week, seniors organized a Blackout Day during which most senior girls dressed in black. With black shoes, tops, netted gloves and face paint, the class of 2016 certainly set the spirit bar high. The unofficial senior spirit week didn’t end there. Since most high school students are familiar with the line “on Wednesdays we wear pink,” from “Mean Girls'” seniors dressed in pink on the second day of classes. To close the week, seniors wore blue and gold to honor their school colors and display their pride.
